Blue Fly
This stunning blue fly was trapped in my car on hot day in India. He was about the size of a walnut. I had to wait in the hot car with him till he obliged me with a pose before I let him fly away.I have no idea what kind of fly this is. So if anyone does, please do leave a comment and educate us... :-)

Actually we don't notice them, but a lot of these insect chaps have really fascinating color schemes. Some are really subtle, so they don't attract the eye till one gets down to a closer inspection.
In nature, all aesthetics is meant to either protect one's arse, or to get a piece of arse :)
